With SMS Email, you can easily send and receive messages directly through your existing email client or any application capable of handling emails. The service allows you to send SMS to email and email to SMS.
Features SMS E-mail
Send SMS
SMS E-mail means that you can send SMS in the same way as you send a regular e-mail. Long SMS messages, up to 3060 characters, are linked to a single long SMS message. The service can be used for both Swedish and international recipients.
Addressing
When you want to send SMS by e-mail, you address, as an example, the mobile number 07xxxxxxxx@sms.genericmobile.se. The email is then converted to SMS by the service. It is also possible to use customer-unique domain addresses for SMS, e.g. @sms.yourdomain.com.
Receive SMS
With an incoming SMS number, you can easily receive SMS directly on your email account. Each incoming SMS number is linked to one or more e-mail addresses.
Users in groups or individually
Users of SMS Email can exist at two levels. Either a user corresponds to an entire domain, e.g., @yourdomain.com, or a user is an individual email address within a domain, e.g., kalle.karlsson@yourdomain.com. If an entire domain is given access to SMS Email, all email addresses within that domain can use the service to send SMS. User authentication is based on the sending email address.
Sender Policy Framework, for security
To further enhance the security of the authentication, the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is used. It protects against unauthorized use and minimizes the risk of an email address being forged and thus gaining access to the service.
