Peter Jansson Appointed New President and CEO of Generic Sweden AB

The Board of Directors of Generic Sweden AB has appointed Peter Jansson as the new President and CEO of Generic Sweden AB.
Peter Jansson is currently the CEO of Generic Solutions Sweden AB, one of the subsidiaries within the Generic Group that offers IT consulting services. Peter, who is 42 years old and holds a master’s degree in computer science from Uppsala University, has worked within the Generic Group since 2005. He previously worked at Prevas and ABB.
“I am pleased that Peter Jansson has accepted the offer to become the new President and CEO. Peter’s leadership skills and broad expertise in the IT field will be valuable in the continued development of the Generic Group,” says Stig-Arne Larsson, Chairman of Generic’s Board of Directors.
“The change in CEO and Group CEO means that the company is entering a new phase in which Hans Nilsson, who has served as CEO since 1998, is now passing the baton to Peter Jansson. Hans has led the company’s development from its inception—with four founders—to today’s publicly traded company, which last year had revenue of 250 msek and 180 employees. “I would like to express my sincere thanks to Hans for his entrepreneurship and tremendous dedication over many years,” says Stig-Arne Larsson.
Hans Nilsson, who is one of the principal owners, will remain on the board.
Peter Jansson will assume his position on April 6, 2009.
