New possibilities and adjusted prices for Larm Modempool

Generic Mobile Alarm Modem Pool is mainly used for alarm transmission. Alarms that are transmitted without internet connection or GSM coverage, simply SMS alarms via the fixed telecommunications network. The service was originally launched almost 20 years ago.

The service is based on old analog technology, which is a challenge for us as an operator as Telia is rapidly phasing out its copper network, and not least that spare parts are becoming more and more difficult to obtain. Generic Mobile's costs for operating and maintaining the service are therefore increasing, but it is nevertheless our ambition to continue to provide Larm Modempool. In order for us to continue to deliver the service with the quality you are used to, we therefore need to adjust the price on October 1, 2017.

At the same time, we are taking the opportunity to adapt the service to current needs and user patterns. To minimize the time to transmit many alarms, we make it possible to send 15 SMS per call. In addition, we are introducing the possibility to use the Modem Pool's Web Portal free of charge, which allows you to administer the recipients who will receive alarms from the alarm unit. The recipients can be additional SMS recipients but also of the type Minicall, e-mail and dialed SMS.

There are four things you need to know

• The price for our service Larm Modempool, with phone number 0740-90 00 00, will be changed on Oct 1, 2017 to SEK 10 per call excluding VAT*
• The service is extended to offer 15 SMS per call
• You will have access to the Fashion Pool Web Portal
• Generic Mobile also offers other services for sending SMS from alarm transmitters, such as via e-mail
