News in SMS Gateway and Web
We are now launching new features in our popular SMS Gateway REST API service. At the same time, SMS Web is improved with several features.
Receive SMS
In SMS Gateway it is now possible to receive SMS with both "push" and "pull" which means that SMS is forwarded (=push) to your application or retrieved regularly (=pull). Delivery with push is fast and efficient but in many cases requires undesirable firewall openings, a situation where poll is better to use.
As before, there are several different types of phone numbers to receive SMS:
- Mobile number
- Mobile long number
- Prefix words on short numbers
Delivery report
Also new in SMS Gateway is that the delivery report, which shows the delivery status of sent SMS, can also be managed with both push and pull.
SMS Webb
In SMS Web, the administration of phone numbers for receiving SMS is improved. It is now possible to assign phone numbers to users and to specify the URL address to be used for delivery of received SMS with push. SMS Web now also has full support for the Unicode character encoding (UCS-2).
Existing customers have access to all new features. If you are not yet a customer, contact us and we will tell you more on telephone number 020-31 00 41 or via email to kund@genericmobile.se
